we're very pleased to be stockists of Martin's cd . Fans of London's Hula Bluebirds will be well aware of Martin's wizadry on the steel guitar and many jazz fans will be familiar with his guitar and banjo playing. For everyone else here's a short bio:

Martin Wheatley ( Guitar, steel guitar, banjo, ukulele) specializes in musical styles of the 20s, 30s and 40s-Jazz, Blues and especially in recent years Hawaiian. His first musical influences were Country Blues guitarists such as Skip James and Furry Lewis. This developed into an interest in Jazz via the New York school of Eddie Lang, Joe Venuti and Bix Beiderbecke. He has played with most of the top Vintage Jazz stylists in the UK including Keith Nichols, the Charleston Chasers and Matthias Seuffert. He has toured the USA extensively, including a trip to Hawaii. He recently returned to America to record CDs with violinist Andy Stein and trumpeter John Erik Kelso.
The new CD -All Day Breakfast-displays a wide variety of influences but is highly individual too. It includes solo pieces on guitar, tenor guitar, banjo and ukulele: duets: trios: quartets and a couple of numbers featuring a larger ensemble. The members of the Hula Bluebirds( Jake Rodrigues and Dave Crofts) appear as well as a new band, Wheatley's Arcadians( Mike Pigott-violin, Tom Langham-guitar and Roger Graham-double bass). There are vocal and instrumental items; jazz standards; tunes from the Southern USA and Hawaii, a light classic from England and even an original piece.
The CD is approximately 75 minutes long and has 21 tracks.
