NEW CD : SOL HOOPII IN HOLLYWOOD ...Grass Skirt GSK 1002

The second Grass Skirt release is now available to order from us or from many good quality stores who stock our products . We have  worked with Dave Stewart and Beer Records on this release which will  reissue for the first time   all the Hawaiian titles released by the Hollywood label and its sister labels Sunset and Silver Screen . Dating from 1925 the 26 titles we are issuing will include all Sol's output prior to his years with Columbia . These will include some alternate takes and ,all told ,19 early Hoopii masterpieces .

Besides the Hoopii sides we have included 7 additional numbers by Coppock's Hawaiian Quartet , Charles Frederick's Hawaiian Syncopators and Charles Diamond ,who all recorded for Hollywood or Sunset

Once again you are assured of a musical treat and we have another great read for you too . Our  booklet notes this time come courtesy of T. Malcolm  Rockwell , Al Dodge and Dave Stewart . With more Robert and Claire Armstrong artwork , and Ted Kendall sound restoration it's another Grass Skirt to get hold of  !
